I was supposed to publish a post on March 7th, but I was too busy even to think (though to be fair, I spent the entire day sleeping 😔). Then I thought, why not March 8th? International Women’s Day and all. But at some point, I realized that words could never fully capture the beauty and significance of women—that’s pretty packaging for I was too lazy to write anything.
Then I made a ridiculous promise to myself to write on International Writers' Day... and maybe Poets' Day? I think. That’s the problem—there are just too many International Days. I recently found out that people actually celebrate World Pancake Day. And take it seriously. Lol.
Anyway, since it wouldn’t be fair to dedicate a post to one of these days and ignore the rest, I did the most effective thing a lazy, unmotivated person could do: I gave up 😌.
In case you're wondering why I even needed a reason to write in the first place—congratulations, you're keeping up. And, in fact, you're very smart. That’s a good question—I don’t have an answer to it.
In hindsight, I think it must have been the heat. As you might have guessed, the ozone layer is depleted (allegedly 🤚🏾). That has to be the only explanation—because what is this heat?? No idea could have made it out of my head without getting dried up on the way.
Yup, definitely the heat. 👍🏾
This evening, I finally decided to write. And no, it’s not a coincidence that it's April Fools'—it’s because it is.
Honestly, I think it’s unfair that we go out of our way to acknowledge great works all the time but completely ignore the fools. Never mind that this fuels them, making them multiply. They try so hard to be noticed and heard, yet we rarely recognize their dedication. And every time we underestimate them, they go the extra mile to prove that the power of their stupidity is truly unmatched.
Many are blissfully unaware of this great power they wield. And can we blame them? When we, as a society, have failed to make them recognize it?
So, I’ve decided to correct this injustice. These people deserve to be acknowledged. They deserve to be praised for their tireless efforts.
Yes, today’s post is dedicated to the different categories of society’s fools. We see your hard work. And it’s only fair to give credit where it’s due.
The first inductees into this hall of fame are The Logical Fools.
Somehow, in some way, they’ve found a way to erase empathy from their dictionary.
I am in a terrible situation. You cannot help me. I cannot help myself. My head is nowhere near the right place to think clearly. At this moment, all I can do is wallow in self-pity and follow where my heart leads me.
I do not ask you to crawl into this hole with me. I only need you to understand that my feelings are valid. But your mind’s eye is as blind as you are stupid, so even if you tried, you still couldn’t put yourself in my shoes. And that’s fine—I’ve accepted it.
At this point, all I need is for you to shut up and mind your business.
But no. Instead, you decide to hit me with a “get yourself together” and insist that I take a logical approach. You are speaking from a place of privilege, but you’re too stupid to see it. You can’t seem to understand why I am crying over spilled milk when, in your mind, the solution is simple—if only I applied logic.
That is so funny to me.
You? Logical?
You, who everyone knows is an idiot on a normal day? Odogwu, please. 😒
You're a fool if you think emotions are problems to be solved, not feelings to be understood. It is dumb to tell people to be rational when they are drowning in chaos. You think you're the most sensible person in the world, that your logical reasoning is top-tier, but you're wrong. What you are is an insensitive, emotionally unintelligent, stupid fool.
Next, we have The Self-Proclaimed Mental Fools.
As someone who actually takes the time to learn about mental health, this category of people gets on my last nerve. Every day on the internet, there’s that one idiot who treats serious disorders like quirky personality traits. Something goes wrong once, and suddenly you have PTSD? Because a bad day and literal trauma are now equals? Lmao. You have regular mood swings, so now you’re bipolar? Be serious. You really think bipolar disorder is why you slapped some random guy you were just having a nice time with? What you are is wild and uncultured. And if one of your "victims" gives you a life-changing slap, you’ll never try it again. 👍🏾
But the ones that piss me off the most? The OCD people.
“OCD is crazy because tell me why I…”
“My OCD doesn’t allow me to…”
Oh, shut up. OCD this, OCD that. You think Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is what makes you clean your room and arrange the drinks in your fridge like a normal person? Get a life. And be grateful to God that you’re not actually mentally ill.
These are real disorders that leave people hospitalized, struggling, and even suicidal. They change lives, ruin relationships, and yet here you are, proudly wearing them like trendy badges—without even bothering to Google them first. Who the hell told you OCD is about cleanliness? In case you don’t know, you’re a nincompoop.
And of course, we have The Proud Illiterates.
These ones wear their stupidity like a badge of honor and aren’t shy about it. Take a moment to look back at the previous paragraphs and notice how many dashes I used. That’s because I’ve heard some informative news—that only ChatGPT uses them. And guess what? I want these fools, if by some chance they’re reading this, to cringe, and crumble.
We know you can’t tell the difference between “am” and “I’m”—but here's the thing: we’re not all the same. Not all of us were privileged to attend the best schools, but we still try. We actually care about improving. We read books to improve our vocabulary. That essay you read, the one you kept reading over and over in disbelief? Yeah, I wrote it. And the dashes? I put them myself. I know how to use punctuation and tenses. My parents paid my fees, and I plan on showing something for it.
What annoys me the most is that these idiots are so quick to dismiss anything well-written as AI-generated—even when it clearly isn’t. And it’s the confidence with which they say it that really gets me. They can’t grasp the idea that some people actually have the talent to articulate their thoughts. So, what do they do? They inject their bitterness into every well-written piece they see, devaluing it simply because they couldn’t write it themselves. It’s not just nonsensical—it’s hurtful.
And yes, this one is very personal because someone said it to me once. What do you even mean? It’s not my fault you don't want to learn to be better, or accept that people are actually good. That's your personal problem.
As much as it hurts to leave others unacknowledged, those three categories would have to suffice, because, as it happens, this post is already very long. I checked the print layout, and I’m already on the third page 😔. One day, we’ll take the time to extensively appreciate others—I'll see you then.
Oh, and if you enjoyed this, make sure to drop a like and tell me what you think. And if you know someone who needs to hear this (you know who), go ahead and share it👉👈. I'd subscribe too if I were you.🌚
Till I write again!❤️
“I did the most effective thing a lazy, unmotivated person could do: I gave up 😌.”
Ladies and gentlemen, I'm also giving up 👍🏽
"Did you honestly write this? It is so AI coded... Sounds so AI... You certainly used ChatGPT. " excuse your majesty 🥲🤚I can articulate my thoughts into ink.
